Our Vision

SeaRoots Alliance Incorporated is a non-profit organization in eastern Prince Edward Island aiming to improve community members’ lives recreationally, socially, and educationally with the vision to create a wellness centre in the Eastern Kings area that is accessible and inclusive, serving families and individuals of all ages. The wellness centre will have endless opportunities for community members to help support them with not only their physical health but also their mental well-being. The wellness centre is based on three pillars – Community, Recreation, and Learning – which will provide the community members the opportunity to flourish and grow in multiple ways.

In Fall 2025 we contracted MRSB and Coles & Associates to conduct a Needs Assessment & Business Plan. The Needs Assessment was an important step to determining if there was a need for a new facility. The Business Plan is based on realistic assumptions based on other similar facilities meant to guide SeaRoots in developing the facility. Wellness centres are an investment in a community, like a school or other public infrastructure.  SeaRoots is committed to working with the Town of Souris, other local municipalities, community members and businesses to realize this vision of a multigenerational hub for connecting community, inspiring learning and providing recreation for all ages.
